Slikarska serija osrednjo pozornost namenja vsakdanjim situacijam s potencirano banalno naracijo, vendar s poudarjeno družbenokritično noto. Strukture in vzorce družbe poskuša obravnavati kot svojevrsten problem, polje za raziskovanje, kot prostor seciranja ali komentiranja, skozi upodobitve efemernih situacij, posameznih zgodb s so-postavitvijo sence. Le-ta pa ni lastna upodobljeni situaciji, vendar je uporabljena kot podaljšek-orodje za potenciranje konkretnega ali/in hkrati re-definicijo upodobljene vsebine. Serija skozi upodobitve vsakdanjih in izoliranih momentov na igriv in izrazito ilustrativen način skuša vzpostavljati kontekste, ki obravnavajo večje zgodbe kot so okoljska kriza, vprašanja o tehnološkem napredku, neenakosti, položaju in odtujenosti posameznika.

“S popačenimi in spremenjenimi odsebnimi sencami predmetov ali subjektov ustvarjam neskladje z videnim, kar povzroča neke vrste konflikt oz. trk med videnim in prvotno ovrednotenim. Skozi ponovitev podobe, ki je pravzaprav njena senca, se skozi predrugačenje le-te ustvarja praznina, kar pa nudi polje za preizpraševanje in ponovno ovrednotenje videnega.”


The painting series focuses on everyday situations with a potent banal narrative, but with a stressed socio-critical note. The series treats the structures, patterns and habits of our society as a unique problem, through depictions of ephemeral situations with the co-placement of shadows which are not that of the depicted object. They are used as a tool for the re-definition of the depicted content thus establishing contexts that address and question larger stories such as the environmental crisis, technology advancements, inequality and the position and alienation of the individual.

“By distorting and transforming the shadows of depicted objects, I cause a certain conflict or a collision between what is seen and what is primarily evaluated. A shadow is basically an expected repetition of an image, but on the painting it is transformed and changed, therefore creating a gap between what is seen and evaluated, which produces a field for questioning and re-evaluation of the image and its context.”
